In 2025, Valley Children’s and Fresno State continued and advanced their shared commitment to improving child wellness through the “Healthy Kids. Healthy Futures.” initiative, a collaborative effort designed to promote physical and mental well‑being for families throughout the Central Valley.

Established as part of our long‑term partnership, the initiative leverages public service announcements, social media campaigns and long‑form educational videos to raise awareness about health and wellness. These efforts bring together Valley Children’s clinicians, Fresno State faculty and university students to deliver clear, accessible messages aimed at supporting healthier futures for children across the region.

This year’s physical focus was on safety gear as an essential component of protecting kids during sports and recreational activities. Whether it's helmets for biking and skating or pads for skateboarding and field sports, the right gear helps prevent serious injuries and ensures kids can play with confidence.

The mental focus was on instilling healthy eating habits to develop a strong foundation for growth, learning, and overall well-being.

Together, these efforts illustrate the impact of “Healthy Kids. Healthy Futures.” in 2025: a multifaceted, community‑centered initiative that promotes wellness education while supporting children across the region.

Through this partnership, Valley Children’s and Fresno State continue to build a healthier, more connected future for the Central Valley.
